Within the project, there were three courses, each of them was held with three groups of 18 young people from the municipalities of Smolyan region.

The “Teamwork, presentation and communication skills” trainings were considered as very useful for the young people. Through role-playing, in an informal setting, they were taught how to assert their ideas to an audience, to form teams, to discuss cases.

Young people reported the “New financial programming period 2014-2020 – funding opportunities. Preparation of projects and applications for youth programs.”training as prompt and needed one. For most of them it was the first time when they got acquainted with practical opportunities for financing and all worked on real projects.

The “Development of municipal programs for youth. Work of municipal councils and forms of influence” trainings in which participants were acquainted with the legal framework for youth policy at national, European and global level were particularly emotional. Youth developed programs for their communities, solved cases, simulated work of the Municipal Council and played the role of mayors and municipal councilors.

Two new NGOs were established, and others were consulted on legal topics and matters in the frame of the project.

Besides the skills acquired in the trainings, the young people created real teams and friendships. The interest of youth to the possibilities to influence the community through NGOs and local action groups was significantly increased.
